Learn to paint outdoors en plein air with water-based gouache (pronounced gwash). This forgiving medium is favorite of plein air painters who travel and want a simple set up.

In this three-session class, our focus will be on capturing color and light, creating a good composition, and gaining confidence en plein air while painting the meadows, woodlands, and wetlands of the Arboretum. Students may opt to purchase materials at the time of registration, or bring their own materials from home.

Advance registration is required.
