Native Plant Sale FAQs
The following is a list of common questions regarding our online plant sales.
Where does the plant sale take place?
Adkins Arboretum's native plant sales take place online.
Do Adkins Arboretum members receive a discount on plants?
Yes, members always receive a discount using a promo code. The promo code must be entered at checkout, as the discount cannot be applied retroactively.
Individual, Household, and Grandparetn level members receive a 10% discount using code PLANT10.
Contributor level members and above receive a 20% discount using code PLANT20.
Can I place my order over the phone?
No, all orders must be placed online.
Can I place multiple orders?
Yes. If you place multiple orders, please use the same name and email for each order, and only schedule one pick-up appointment. We will have all of your orders ready to be picked up at the same time.
How do I schedule my pick-up appointment?
After placing your order, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to schedule your plant pickup appointment via the scheduling website Calendly. If you don’t see a confirmation email in your inbox, check your spam folder.
Where do I pick up my order?
Orders are picked up at the Adkins Arboretum Nursery. The Nursery is accessed via the Service Entrance, which is .3 miles from the Main Entrance. Look for the Plant Sale Pick-Up signs.
What do I need to say or show to pick up my order?
Check in with the Volunteer at the Service Entrance using the name on the order. They will direct you to the Nursery.
Can someone else pick up my order for me?
Yes. Please let us know ahead of time if someone other than you will be picking up your order. The person picking up your order should give your name to the Volunteer at the Service Entrance.
What is your refund/exchange policy?
All sales are final.
What if there's something wrong with my order?
We do our best to make sure all orders are complete and accurate. However, if you have a concern about your order, please click here to email us.
What if I need to reschedule my order pick-up appointment?
If you need to reschedule your pick-up appointment, you can do so by clicking the link at the bottom of the confirmation email you received after scheduling your original appointment. You will be directed back to the Calendly website where you will have the option to reschedule. Please note, slots fill up quickly. Dates and times may be limited.

When is the next plant sale?
Our online Fall Native Plant Sale will begin on August 7 and close on August 28. Pickup appointments for this sale will be scheduled in early September.
Additionally, there is a small selection of native plants available for sale at the Visitor’s Center now until the weather becomes hot. We’ll offer plants at the Visitor’s Center again when the temperatures have cooled down in early Fall.
