Heartleaf Golden Alexanders has glossy, heart-shaped basal leaves and grows 1–3' tall overall. Flat-topped clusters of tiny yellow flowers similar to Golden Alexanders bloom May through July. Full sun to part shade conditions are best. Tolerates soils ranging from moist to dry. Will self-seed. 

Heartleaf Golden Alexanders is found thoughout southern Canada and much of the continental U.S. It inhabits wet areas. Attracts native bees and insects that prey on insect pests.
