Have you ever wondered how to identify common trees in winter? Learn how when MD DNR Education Specialist Kerry Wixted presents an afternoon session on beginner winter botany. We'll delve into common twigs and buds, bark patterns, and traits to look for in winter to help identify local trees and shrubs. After an indoor session, we'll head outside to practice identifying species in winter. Please plan for indoor and outdoor temperatures.
