Ticks are part of the invertebrate fauna occurring in the natural environment. Quite typically we associate them with health risks. Just what are ticks though and what sort of health risks do they actually pose? Taken further, we look for answers on how to protect ourselves and still enjoy the great outdoors. This presentation by biological scientist Timothy Christensen offers an overview of tick classification and respective biology to establish a better understanding of this “bug” and help answer these questions. Tim will also present information on reducing mosquito breeding sites. Advance registration is required to receive the Zoom link emailed prior to the class.
