University of Maryland Extension Recommended Native Plant
Heart-leaved foamflower is a nice woodland groundcover. The leaves are bright green and oak-leaf shaped. Grows to only about 1' high in shade to part shade. Tall erect stems of white flowers emerge in May. Tiarellas like moist, organically rich soil. Good for woodland groundcovers, border fronts, and shaded gardens.
Foamflower is native to eastern North America. Attracts pollinators.
