Indiangrass is a North American praire grass with beautiful blue green foliage and golden-brown spikelets with showy yellow stamens that bloom from late summer to early fall. The flowers are cross-pollinated by wind. This clumping native grass grows to 3–5.' Requires full sun but adapts well to soil conditions and types. Easy to grow. Provides winter interest in the garden as well as cover for wildlife.

Indiangrass is found in central and eastern U.S. and Canada. It plays an important role in the ecosystem, providing erosion control, food for pollinators and other wildlife, and habitat restoration. Host plant for Pepper and Salt Skipper.
