$15 per child; no charge for adult chaperones. The program is designed for children ages 8 & up. Children ages 5–7 may come with an adult. Advance registration is required.
Fall is the perfect time for a campfire! We'll take a nature walk to the Arboretum's wigwams for a seasonal craft and hands-on activity, then gather around the fire for a story, hot chocolate, and s'mores. This program is taught by Katey Nelson of Wonder in the Wild Outdoor School.
Katey believes she has the best job in the world—she gets to play with kids and inspire explorers to wonder while exploring the great outdoors! Ms. Katey has 12+ years of experience leading environmental and outdoor education classes and previously worked at the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center and Annapolis Maritime Museum. She holds a Master of Arts in teaching, as well as numerous environmental education and child care certificates.
