In partnership with the Maryland Biodiversity Project, Adkins Arboretum will bring experts and citizen scientists together to learn about and observe the natural ecosystems of Maryland’s Coastal Plain. Empowered with identification skills, participants will be encouraged to continue submitting bservations, which will be incorporated into the Maryland Biodiversity Project website.
Reptiles and amphibians on the Coastal Plain: a lecture followed by a walk learning about what kind of reptiles and amphibians can be found, how to look for them safely, and how to identify them in the field.
Advance registration is required for all programs and events. This helps with planning and lets us contact you if programs are canceled. Many of our instructors are from out of town, and programs with insufficient enrollment may be canceled several days in advance.
