Plein Air Adkins is a one-day plein air paint-out, exhibit, and sale where artists paint at the Arboretum in the morning and then exhibit and sell their work in the afternoon. The public is invited to explore the Arboretum's woodland, meadows, and wetland while watching the artists paint, then enjoy the exhibit and sale while listening to live music by Fine Times.

The judge is Alison Berry, a painter who exhibits in Maryland and Virginia and has participated and placed in numerous plein air events.

Beltway Bistro and Blue Monkey Street Tacos food trucks and Ten Eyck Brewery will have food and drink for sale beginning at 11 a.m.

Plein Air Adkins will take place in light rain or shine. In the event of heavy rain, the event will be rescheduled for Sunday, November 5.

This event is sponsored in part by the Caroline County Council of Arts and Choptank Electric Cooperative.
