Monarda d. 'Jacob Cline' (bee balm)
bee balm (1 gallon)
'Jacob Cline', a cultivar of scarlet beebalm, is widely considered the most mildew-resistent beebalm. This bright red beebalm will flower from June to August. It has wonderfully aromatic leaves. It is a vigorous grower that will spread about 2' and grow 3–5' tall.
Scarlet beebalm is native to eastern North America, where it typically occurs in bottomlands, thickets, moist woods, and along streambanks. Attracts bees, hummingbirds, and butterflies. In trials at Mt. Cuba Center, 'Jacob Cline' was by far the most popular bee balm with hummingbirds.
