'Raspberry Wine' is a tall bee balm cultivar with showy, purplish red flowers. It ranked among the top performers in Mt. Cuba Center's Monarda trials. Blooms in July and August. Thrives in sun in moist rich or average soils. Grows to 24–30" tall with a 2' spread. This cultivar has an improved resistance to powdery mildew, but keep the soil moist and give it good air circulation to prevent the problem. A showy plant for the border, pollinator garden, native garden or other moist sites. Place them where you can brush against the aromatic foliage and notice why they are called pollinator magnets.
