'Baby Joe' is a cultivar of coastal plain Joe-pye weed that is more compact than the straight species, growing only to 30" tall. Perfect for smaller gardens. Has lavender-rose-colored flowers over bright green foliage. LIkes full sun to part shade and blooms August–September.
Coastal plain Joe-Pye weed is native to the eastern U.S. and Canada, primarily on the Atlantic coastal plain from Georgia to Nova Scotia. All Joe-pye weeds are butterfly magnets. They also support many solitary bees, bumblebees, and other insects.
