Eupatorium hyssopifolium (hyssopleaf thoroughwort)

Hyssop-leaf thoroughwort is an under-used fall-blooming wildflower that is attractive in bud and in flower. The buds show color for a few weeks before flowering. Its white-fringed flowers have a cloud-like appearance in mass plantings, and is a spectacle in breezy meadows from August to October. It can be planted near crops to attract beneficial insects and in a pollinator garden offers excellent late summer texture, especially among native grasses and fall asters. Can grow in a variety of soil types but requires good drainage. 

Hyssop-leaf thoroughwort is native to North America. It is found in much of the eastern and south-central U.S. It grows in moist soils. Attracts butterflies and pollinators.
