Coreopsis verticillata 'Zagreb' (threadleaf coreopsis)

threadleaf coreopsis (quart)

'Zagreb' is a cultivar of threadleaf tickseed that has bright yellow flowers and is shorter than the species, growing about 1' tall. It tolerates heat, humidity, and drought. Give it sun to part shade. Blooms from July to October. Cut back in late summer to encourage rebloom. Can be grown in hanging baskets and containers.

Threadleaf coreopsis is native to east-central U.S., primarily from Maryland south to Georgia. It is commonly found in dry, thin woods and open pinelands, preferring sites with full sun exposure. Attracts birds and butterflies. Deer resistant.
