Coreopsis verticillata 'Creme Brulee' (threadleaf coreopsis)

threadleaf coreopsis (quart)

Featured in Mt. Cuba Center’s Coreopsis trial, ‘Creme Brulee’ offers prolific creamy, pale yellow blooms in the summer. This cultivar grows about 14 inches high with a 30 inch spread. It is prone to powdery mildew, so plant it in a location with good air circulation, full sun, and well-drained soil. It also is not tolerant of cold winters, so it would benefit from being planted in a warm microclimate. A great option for cut flowers and is considered “deer resistant.”

BONAP Native Range Map for straight species. Bright green indicates native to the county, dark green indicates native to the state.
