'Nana' is a cultivar of lobed tickseed that is a great option for smaller-scale gardens or in borders. It grows to less than a foot tall and wide, bearing sweet golden blooms in May and June. It grows well in areas with full sun and medium soil moisture. It will form colonies if allowed to spread and can create quite a lovely effect in a meadow or border. It tolerates humidity, deer, and dry soil, though does not appreciate a drought. It can be divided in theSpring.
Lobed tickseed is native to the southeastern and east-central U.S. It grows along roadsides, in openings in woods with mixed hardwood trees, and pine barrens. Flowers attract butterflies. Seed attracts songbirds.
