Meet Your Instructor
Nancy Hardy’s fascination with drawing and painting from the natural world was sparked by a nature study course for her major at Moore College of Art & Design. She holds a BFA in Textile Design (woven and print fabric design) and an MFA in Interior Design from George Washington University. At the Newport Art Museum, she studied flower painting under fine and decorative painter Richard Smith and watercolor painting under Richard Grosvenor and Patricia Tobacco Forrester. Since retiring, Nancy has pursued her passion for botanical art, plein-air painting, and urban sketching.
