Blephilia ciliata (downy pagoda plant)
downy pagoda plant (1 gallon)
Downy pagoda plant, also known as Ohio horsemint, grows 1-2 feet tall and has a 1 foot spread. With lavender colored blooms from May to August, this mint naturally occurs in dry open woods, clearings, and roadsides of western Maryland and the Appalachian region. This native perennial is clump-forming and grows in full to part sun, in dry to average soils. This plant is considered of special value to bumble bees and predatory insects (who naturally control pests)! It is a great addition to your open woodland garden!
