Asclepias syriaca (common milkweed)

common milkweed (1 gallon)

Common milkweed produces beautiful pink puffy blooms in June through August. It thrives in full sun in dry to moist soils. It serves as a host plant for the monarch butterfly and provides nectar for a host of bees and butterflies. Common milkweed will grow to 3 feet tall and will reseed.

Help the Monarch butterfly population by planting more monarch flowers (milkweeds)! Monarchs have had especially hard winters in Mexico and have a diminishing summer habitat in the United States. Plant in large groups to attract passersby.
