Aronia melanocarpa 'Ground Hug' (black chokeberry)

This black chokeberry cultivar is an excellent choice if you want the beauty of aronia in a short, sprawling shrub. Growing to only about 14 inches high and spreading 36 inches, this shrub becomes a dense groundcover with the same rosy white blooms and black fruits that we (and the wildlife) love. It will do best in full to part sun and is adaptable to a variety of wet and dry locations.
