Prerequisites: Drawing 1, Watercolor 1, Colored Pencil 1
A working artist’s studio led by Melinda Thompson Meyers, in which students are invited to work with their preferred mediums on the shared subject matter of a pear. This format will allow learning from the teacher’s demonstrations and instruction, as well as other students’ approaches and tips. Come with colored pencils, graphite, and/or watercolors and a willingness to share your thoughts. At the end of class, there will be an opportunity for students to display and discuss the works and methods they have used.

Meet Your Instructor
Having a lifelong interest in observing and recording nature, Melinda Thompson Meyers enjoys continually refining, exploring, and expanding her interest in the Botanical arts.
Melinda has been a working designer and illustrator with a background in children’s clothing design, textile design, illustration, painting, photography and graphic design. She holds a BFA from Syracuse University.
