Yarnstorming is a form of public art that employs the use of yarn and fiber.
Adkins Arboretum's Yarnstorming exhibit invites fiber artists, or teams of artists, to wrap dormant trees in colorful fiber creations. Sponsored in partnership with the Fiber Arts Center of the Eastern Shore (FACES), the Yarnstorming exhibit will be on show for Arboretum visitors to enjoy in the weeks just before the first buds of Spring appear.
A reception for the exhibit will take place on March 7 at the Visitor's Center. All are invited to attend this free event which will include a walk through the outdoor exhibit. Enjoy light refreshments and chat with the artists.
Advance registration is appreciated for planning purposes.
