Join us for an enchanting springtime excursion to Mt. Cuba Center, renowned for its breathtaking displays of native plants. Explore lush woodland gardens adorned with vibrant trilliums in shades of white, pink, and deep red, along with other Spring ephemerals. Go on a guided welcome tour of the gardens, enjoy a break for lunch, and take a hayride through the natural lands to learn about native habitats and conservation efforts. Witness the breathtaking beauty of Spring in this unforgettable setting.
With origins stretching back more than 80 years, Mt. Cuba Center in Hockessin, DE has been a home for conservation and preservation. Transformed from farmland to a lush botanical garden featuring more than 1,000 species of native plants, Mt. Cuba inspires an appreciation for the value of these plants and a commitment to protect the habitats that sustain them.
Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch or purchase pre-packed food (salads, hummus and crackers, cheese and meat snack packs, etc.) for sale at Mt. Cuba Center.
The ticket price includes comfortable bus transportation, a tip for the driver, admission, a one–hour guided walk, and a hayride. We will depart from Mt. Cuba Center at 3 pm to return home.
Our bus departs from the following three locations:
- Aurora Park Drive in Easton at 8 am
- Route 50 westbound/Route 404 Park 'n Ride at 8:20 am
- 301/291 Park 'n Ride in Millington at 8:45 am
