January 7 and 8, 2025
10 a.m.–3 p.m.
This two-day workshop will introduce the art of illumination and botanical illumination, focusing on the processes and skills necessary to create illuminated and botanical letters. Although watercolor is the traditional medium, color pencil will be demonstrated. Projects will be completed using gold paint.
Two styles will be studied, and the second class will include a demonstration of French matting and a discussion of botanical illumination.
