Helenium autumnale 'Helena Gold' (yellow sneezeweed)

1 Quart

Yellow sneezeweed is a popular garden perennial because of its beautiful yellow blooms in August, September, and October that look like the sun. The 'Helena Gold' cultivar is valued for large, long-blooming flowers and strong growth, and it grows to about 2.5-3' tall by 1-2' wide. It thrives in full sun in areas with medium to wet soil moisture. A great selection for bright color in your rain garden, it tolerates deer, clay, and wet soil. It does not do well in dry soil, so make sure it has water.

Yellow sneezeweed is widespread across much of the U.S. and Canada, growing in moist, open areas along streams and ponds as well as wet meadows. Its flowers attract pollinators, including bees, butterflies, and wasps.
