Eutrochium (Eupatorium) purpureum (sweetscented joe pye weed)

Sweet scented Joe Pye weed, grows in low moist areas, wooded slopes, and wet meadows. It typically grows to 4-7 feet tall and produces beautiful mauve pink flowers. It is a wonderful pollinator plant that attracts butterflies and bees. The seed heads persist into winter and the plant is a good structural element in your garden.
