Carex plantaginea (seersucker sedge)

1 Quart

Seersucker sedge has unique leaves that are broad and puckered. The leaves are mostly evergreen and grow to about 1 foot tall and wide. This plant is best grown in part sun to full shade in moist conditions. It is a clump-forming perennial and makes a great addition to any shady garden.

Seersucker sedge is distributed across much of eastern North America, where it is found in moist woods. In Maryland, it is considered critically imperiled.
