Baptisia australis 'Purple Smoke' (false indigo)
1 Quart
In May, smoky purple flower spikes up to 12" long rise above the bluish-green leaves and persist up to 4 weeks. Baptisias like full sun and moist soil and a deep taproot makes moving them difficult if not impossible. Drought tolerant. Good as a specimen plant, in borders, and in perennial gardens. Attractive to butterflies.
