This big bluestem is sure to stand out. The 'Blackhawks' cultivar is a relatively new introduction, featuring dark green upright foliage that turns to dark purple in the fall as the temperatures get cooler. This bluestem gets to about 5 feet tall and does well in full sun, dry to medium soil.
