New York Botanical Garden & Yayoi Kusama Exhibit - May 12

This trip is postponed indefinitely. If you are registered, you will be notified if it is rescheduled.

Your next art-selfie destination may just be the Bronx! Our first spring visit to NYBG will include blooming magnolias and Cosmic Nature, a massive exhibition by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. The garden will be the only stop for the show, billed as “the first-ever large-scale exploration of the artist’s profound engagement with nature.” The expansive exhibition will take over the 250-acre botanical garden with the installation of monumental, site-specific outdoor works. Indoors, a horticultural display inspired by a massive Kusama painting will appear in the conservatory, with additional works in the library building.

The bus departs from Aurora Park Drive in Easton at 8 a.m., from the Route 50 westbound/Route 404 Park and Ride at 8:20 a.m, and from the 301/291 Park and Ride in Millington at 8:45 a.m.  We will depart for home at 6 pm. Feel free to pack a snack and/or lunch to eat on the bus.
