This 8-session program meets the following Tuesdays from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Age-appropriate reading and writing activities are required. Students should dress for the weather, wear comfortable walking shoes, and bring a pencil to class. **Advance registration is required.**

What makes a bird a bird? How are birds specially adapted to flight? Which birds live on the Eastern Shore? Homeschoolers will find the answers to these questions and more as they delve into ornithology, the scientific study of birds. Program highlights include owl pellet dissection, live bird cam observations, a guest speaker, bluebird box monitoring, environmental games, and an engineering challenge.
