Can you tell your sweetgums from your maples? How about your ironwoods from your oaks? In this eight-week “feet wet, hands dirty” science program, we’ll delve into native tree identification by exploring the Arboretum’s woodland habitats. We’ll also uncover the dynamic relationships between native trees, animals, and people...now and in the past. Opportunities to use scientific equipment will be part of the learning process. This program is for students ages 9–12.
