With their stunning yellow flowers, goldenrods are one of the hallmark plants of autumn. But they do more than delight the eye. From bees and wasps to caterpillars and butterflies, goldenrods support hundreds of insects and deserve a place in our gardens. Join us to learn how goldenrod can add beauty and wildlife value to any landscape! After the indoor program, be prepared to head outside for a walk through the arboretum to scout goldenrods for insects and other wildlife.
Samantha Nestory is the engagement manager at Stoneleigh: a natural garden in Villanova, Pennsylvania, and she is passionate about native plants, ecological gardening, and insect conservation.
